Chřibská 90 is a beautiful historical timber house with a fresh design interior. Inside you will find everything you need for rest and recharge, while outside the authentic village atmosphere and the countryside of Bohemian Switzerland and the Lusatian Mountains invite you to slow down. The loft-style layout connects rather than divides. The garden is perfect for children to run around or for a glass of wine at dusk. It is ideal for a family, a couple or a group of friends. The house sits in a quiet residential part of the village among long-time locals and is within walking distance of the village square as well as the forest. The cottage offers everything you need for an easy stay – a fully equipped kitchen, three sleeping zones, a living room with a fireplace for gathering together and, upstairs, a spa corner with a hot tub. In the garden you can sit under the pergola and grill.
Wi-Fi, washing machine, towels and bathrobes are, of course, included. Nothing unnecessary, nothing missing.
Chřibská 90 is essentially an open space. Apart from the living room on the ground floor there is nowhere to hide, so it is best suited for a couple, a family, or guests who are close to each other. The ground floor features the living room and kitchen opening onto the terrace plus a bathroom. Upstairs you will find two private zones (let’s call them bedrooms) and an extra toilet. Most of the upper floor is designed as a chill-out area with ambient lighting and a large whirlpool bath – and you can sleep there too.
The only “classic” bedroom. A generous double bed, desk and a window facing the garden. Quiet and bright – ideal for the lead couple. Double bed, extra bed, blackout curtain.
Also upstairs, a pull-out sofa in the room with the whirlpool bath and a TV with Netflix. Perfect for unwinding after an evening soak – read, think or simply fall asleep.
On the ground floor you will find a large traditional living room. It works well for guests who prefer not to climb the stairs. Cast-iron stove, card table, daybed, two sofa beds, TV and storage – a place where mornings start slowly.

This route may feel demanding, but the sweeping views make it worthwhile. Start and finish in Jetřichovice (paid parking available or take the seasonal shuttle from Chřibská). You will pass three iconic lookouts – Mariina vyhlídka, Vilemínina stěna and Rudolfův kámen – with sandstone towers rising above the forest. Weekdays are quieter; at dusk you might spot dormice around Rudolfův kámen. Finish with a snack and local beer at Bistro Falk by the tourist information point.

Start in the village of Kyjov. The best parking is the small free lot behind the bus stop (in season you can also hop on the tourist shuttle). The whole valley is scenic, even though many trees disappeared in recent years due to bark beetles. The “main” route follows the asphalt lane along the Křinice stream where you can cool your feet on a hot day. If you enjoy scrambling, head for the local sandstone forts and lookouts on the Kögler nature trail. Children love the wooden animal statues as well as the ladders and little passages. If you have time, visit the rock called Klenotnice – a quiet place with a special vibe. For a touch of punk spirit, contemporary art, excellent vegan food and good coffee, stop by the Nová Perla café next to the old thread factory that is slowly coming back to life.

A short loop right by the cottage that rewards you with beautiful beech forests and a real double waterfall. The flow is at its best in spring, autumn or during a rainy summer day. The forest path back to the village is well marked and easy to follow.

From the truly forest railway stop Jedlová (details here ↗) climb to the top of the namesake mountain. Visit the lookout, grab lunch in the cosy mountain restaurant and then descend (adrenaline lovers can dash down the former ski slope). Continue through endless woods (in September listen for rutting deer) towards Malý Stožec. The viewpoint is still a hidden gem and absolutely worth it! Finish the trip back at Jedlová station in the famous restaurant known for honest home-style cooking.
